PlaceMakers: Proudly supporting Blue September with help from some famous friends

From shave-offs to scooter challenges, PlaceMakers stores across the country have done their part in 2011 to help raise $300,000 for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of New Zealand.

At a tongue-in-cheek presentation Buck Shelford, Stu Wilson, Mike Puru, Joseph Naufahu and Hamish Dodd lent their time to help PlaceMakers CEO, John Beveridge, present the $300,000 cheque to Prostate Cancer Foundation CEO, Keith Beck.

One in 10 NZ men will develop prostate cancer, so as an industry dominated by men, it makes sense for PlaceMakers to support the Foundation. Early detection can save lives, so disease awareness and education is something PlaceMakers wholeheartedly supports.

This video ‘packages’ the ‘early detection’ message in a memorable way and will hopefully encourage everyone to take a second look…
